Winning Golf Shirt Suppliers

As the end of 2021 draws to a close, individual people and organisations invariably think of their respective resolutions and plans for the New Year, 2022 and beyond. At this time, folks indulge in some introspection. Where are they now? Where did it all begin, and how have they evolved, developed, and progressed?

Retail became Wholesale

XCO Group was once a Pretoria-based retail supplier of golf shirts, as well as apparel for other sporting codes, plus associated equipment. Whilst we still supply these sports-related products – now on a wholesale basis to the corporate world – we also offer comprehensive ranges of corporate garments and accessories, workwear, corporate and promotional gifts, in addition to team wear. As such, we’re the top supplier for all corporate and sporting apparel.

Additionally, we’re suppliers of PPC, PPE and Essential Products, relating to protection from exposure to COVID 19 and the prevention of spreading this virus. Such an epic virus was unknown three and a half decades ago in 1987, when Sportoria, as our erstwhile single retail outlet was known, first opened its doors to the sports-loving public.

Manufacturer and Supplier

Nonetheless, XCO Group has come a long way since those early days. Today, we not only supply our extensive collections of merchandise – some 230 000 products across more than 130 brands in total - but we also have a division that custom-manufactures certain goods. For example, in the unlikely event that a corporate customer doesn’t find the exact golf shirt his or her organisation requires, we’ll gladly assist and manufacture golf shirts and more that meet or exceed expectations.

Branding Suppliers

XCO Group has also established its own branding studio. Here, our talented and experienced branding specialists ensure that your all-important branding requirements and are executed to your specifications, since one’s brand is not something with which to trifle.

If branding is not 100% correct, it’s totally wrong. There are no figurative shades of grey, unless your brand’s pantone includes grey or the fabric of your golf shirts is grey. Even then, the correct shade of grey must be selected - literally. (No reference to nor any association with any recent work of fiction whatsoever is intended).

XCO also supplies branding solutions that enable corporate clients to create, apply, expose, expand and live their respective brands. With this in mind, we’ve recently introduced an entirely novel creative range with which to present and promote your brand.

Innovative New Lifestyle Golf Shirt Collections

As leading suppliers of corporate gear, XCO constantly strives to offer clients new innovations. Our latest addition, “Lifestyle”, includes two exciting variations on traditional golf shirt designs, of which we always stock extensive selections from our attractive standard ranges.

Lifestyle collections are available in two styles – Loud, which is a loud and proud bold and very vibrant expression of your corporate identity, and the Discreet collection, somewhat more classic but with a distinctive and creative twist – subtly toned, modern and stylish.

Suppliers at the Forefront

Our XCO Lifestyle collection of golf shirts helps to ensure that each client’s brand is at the forefront on the golf course and the clubhouse – elsewhere, wherever the wearer may go, so attired. These creations which we supply are designed to attract attention, which is precisely what every corporate entity wants their brand to achieve.

The wearing of this smart-casual apparel is not confined to sport. Workplace dress codes in South Africa typically consisted of business suits, worn with formal lounge shirts – the collar and tie look, irrespective of the season or the weather in a hot sunny country. Fortunately, corporate clothing has, to a large extent, become a lot more casual and comfortable.

Those who are old enough to recall the 1960s and 70s may remember how businessmen would dislike wearing a suit or smart blazer and trousers, plus a tie during the working week. Israeli society was known to be quite laid back and less formal. Even senior Israeli government ministers opted for short-sleeved, open-necked shirts, which resembled golf shirt styling – far better suited to their hot, humid climate.

This trend would take some time to migrate to South Africa, which was very conservative at the time. Whilst there are numerous occasions when wearing a suit is most appropriate, golf shirts, like those we supply, have a prominent place in team wardrobes.

Winning All the Way

It’s a win-win formula all the way, irrespective of the golf shirt wearer’s score or golfing handicap, or whether he or she plays this gentleman’s game at all. Simply ensure that at least one golf shirt range supplied by XCO Group, is included in your corporate wear. Choose the suppliers you can trust.
